Anneke van Giersbergen – Everything Is Changing

I’m very proud to be on this one! Killer album from one of Europe’s most awesome female rock vocalists.

Last summer I was approached by Anneke’s husband and drummer Rob Snijders, who’s also her manager. Rob had 3 songs left to track on drums but was too busy with his management duties and asked me to record the drums for these last 3 songs. An interesting situation, considering Rob is one of The Netherlands’ most celebrated rock drummers and this was his own album. I tried my very best not to let him down!

I play on the songs “I Wake Up” (track 5), “Hope, Pray, Dance, Play” (track 9) and “Too Late” (track 11). On the first half of “I Wake Up“, it’s actually me and Rob playing together, which came out really cool. Below is a sample of “Too Late“:
