Hey guys, I got a new mailing list up and running. I had 3000 subscribers on my old one but about half of those addresses bounced the last time I sent out a newsletter and that amount of bounces pretty much overloaded the newsletter client I was using at the time. If you’d like to receive (sporadic) emails with important updates (shows, releases, exclusive media, special deals), subscribe to the new newsletter on the home page of the site! Some stuff will be exclusive to newsletter subscribers and won’t show up on FB, Twitter or my site, so make sure you subscribe!

The Saturnine website + EP’s available

Anneke van Giersbergen – Everything Is Changing

I’m very proud to be on this one! Killer album from one of Europe’s most awesome female rock vocalists.

Last summer I was approached by Anneke’s husband and drummer Rob Snijders, who’s also her manager. Rob had 3 songs left to track on drums but was too busy with his management duties and asked me to record the drums for these last 3 songs. An interesting situation, considering Rob is one of The Netherlands’ most celebrated rock drummers and this was his own album. I tried my very best not to let him down!

I play on the songs “I Wake Up” (track 5), “Hope, Pray, Dance, Play” (track 9) and “Too Late” (track 11). On the first half of “I Wake Up“, it’s actually me and Rob playing together, which came out really cool. Below is a sample of “Too Late“:

New website, NAMM

As you may have noticed, this is a brand new site! Still working on adding all the content, but it’ll all be up shortly.
As I’m typing this, I’m at Newark airport, on my way to the NAMM show in California. If you’re around and want to meet up for a beer and a chat, drop me a note! I’ll be visiting the actual show on Friday only, but I’ll be in the general area Wednesday through Friday.

Project Masquerade

Very proud to announce that the Project Masquerade album/EP is now available on iTunes and Amazon.com. Physical copies will be available from Noud Smeets’ website soon also.

This was one of the first albums I tracked drums for at my studio in Queens, back in 2007-2008. PM is the brainchild of guitarist Noud Smeets. Noud and I used to play together back when I used to live in Holland. He’s a good friend and killer songwriter and guitarist. The album features several vocalists and guest musicians. Anyone into epic metal (Ayreon and Opeth come to mind) needs to get this! The album is only $4.99 on iTunes. You won’t regret it!
